I met the Marry me in Umbria team, Vanessa & Matteo, who took care of every detail elegantly and precisely. They ensured that trip was a relaxed and unforgettable experience.
Previously have visited of Italy but this was the first time to Umbria and I was genuinely surprised by the beauty of the region. The location for the wedding had a sweeping view across a landscape of timeless charm. While the venue itself was romantic with obvious history, it had been carefully renovated creating a beautiful, charming and welcoming reception venue.
A pleasant surprise was discovering that Vanessa is Italian-Australian. Immediately, she made me feel “part of the family”, it was special and personal. I noticed that every detail of the wedding and the experience reflected meticulous care, understated elegance, and a natural, harmonious sense of luxury.
Everything was orchestrated with great attention, allowing me to fully enjoy every moment from arrival to departure. As someone who has always worked in the event industry and was born and raised in Perugia, I thought I had seen it all, but Vanessa and Matteo truly exceeded every expectation. The way they orchestrated these four unforgettable days was simply outstanding.
All the guests, together with the couple, stayed in the same beautiful venue, which created a warm and joyful atmosphere from the very first day. We started with a welcoming dinner featuring local products, followed by days filled with authentic Umbrian experiences: a cooking class dedicated to tagliatelle and torta al testo, guided visits to Assisi, Perugia and Orvieto, and an incredible wine tasting in a local winery. The wedding day itself, overlooking Lake Trasimeno, was nothing short of magical, and the farewell pool party was the perfect ending to a truly memorable celebration.
As an Umbrian, I deeply appreciated how everything was presented with genuine authenticity. Vanessa and Matteo managed to capture the real soul of our region and share it with everyone through elegance, warmth and heart. I always thought they were kind of unnecessary and that with a bit of DIY you could easily organize everything yourself by just choosing the vendors you like. But I soon realized it’s not that simple, you never really know what’s behind the prices and coordinating everything on your own is almost impossible.
I realized this when I attended the wedding of two Canadian friends who got married in Umbria with the help of Vanessa and Matteo from Marry Me in Umbria. It was amazing to see how every detail was perfectly taken care of and how everything ran so smoothly, even with guests coming from all over the world.
Vanessa and Matteo handled every aspect with great professionalism and calm, always present but never intrusive. You can tell they truly know the region and work only with trustworthy local vendors.
